Belmont Senior Center Members of What the World Needs Now - Interfaith Coalition Singers: The Cooper Brothers, Walter, and Stephen, have been singing together for over six decades. They started their professional careers in 1962 as "The Montclairs" singing do-woop, R&B, Soul, and Motown. In 1968 they became "The Authentics". In 1978 they became "Spunk(our band)and The Authentics" disco songs were featured. In 1988 they changed their focus to GOSPEL and became "The GOSPEL Love Tones " a lay ministry of Hope and Comfort. They produced two CDs (Jubilee and Standing on the Rock). For the past few years, their focus has been on supporting Interfaith coalitions through music and the arts, and on a preservation ministry, to share the power of the songs and singing styles they have been BLESSED to experience.

Belle Linda Halpern is a lay leader at Congregation Beth El in Sudbury and was influenced as a song leader by Martha Schlamme, Cantor Lorel Zar-Kessler, and Shlomo Carlebach. She has sung in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Paris, Munich, Jerusalem, and Mumbai, performing in five languages. Belle has been called “Boston’s premiere singing actor” by the Boston Herald; The Boston Globe has called her work “stunning, both as music and theatre.”

Jenny Bonham-Carter moved to the US from Sweden in 2016. Classically trained as a child, she has for the past 30 years mainly been singing gospel, blues, and soul while enjoying many other styles as well. Among other musical adventures, Jenny is the music teacher in the Swedish school in Boston, runs the music and art for the Poor People's Campaign MA chapter, and sings every week in Somerville Community Baptist Church where she's a member. Her band West of Willow can be found on all music streaming services.

What the World Needs Now - Interfaith Coalition Singers is based in Massachusetts, greater Boston area. The group in its current form was created in the winter of 2021/2022. Through the God-given language of music, they want to spread Love, Hope, Togetherness and inspire action.

The vocal group (to the accompaniment of guitar or piano) gives performances and does song-leading in an array of places and always strive to expand their collaborations. The group lends their voices to the Poor People's Campaign, Massachusetts Peace Action, and other organizations.
