EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rev. Dr. Mar Imsong currently serves as the Executive Director of Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries and the ACE Center for New Americans. He is a trainer, coach, mentor, public speaker, and preacher committed to supporting diverse communities. Originally from Nagaland in northeast India, he holds a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) in Social Ethics from the Boston University School of Theology and brings extensive leadership experience in ministry, community engagement, and intercultural collaboration.

PROGRAM & EVALUATION MANAGER

Lugyi No, leads program coordination, monitoring, and evaluation at Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries (MBMM) in Lowell, supporting cross-cultural initiatives serving immigrant and refugee families. Originally from Myanmar, Lugyi brings expertise in program management, research and evaluation, and bilingual community engagement. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Research & Evaluation in Education at UMass Lowell, he is dedicated to strengthening data-informed programs that enhance access, inclusion, and well-being for New American communities.

PROJECT IMPACT & GRANT MANAGER

Myat The Thitsar is Programs Impact and Grant Manager at MBMM, with experience in research, project management, and grant oversight. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Studies from UMass Lowell and an M.A. in International Relations from California State University, Fresno. She previously co-founded Nyan Corridor, leading governance and digital rights initiatives. She has managed donor-funded projects, contributed to global research, and is committed to advancing impactful, accountable, community-rooted programs at MBMM.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Bendangla Imsong, originally from Nagaland, Northeast India, brings over 20 years of experience in teaching and working with children. She has served in elementary and preschool settings in both India and Massachusetts, earning certification in early education. Currently, she is Program Coordinator at the ACE Center for New Americans, supporting immigrant and refugee families through After School programs, ESOL classes, and the ACE Shoppe. She is passionate about nurturing children and serving her community.

AFGHAN COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Bahara Hussaini leads the Afghan Women Empowerment Program at the ACE Center. A Fulbright Scholar, she holds a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from UMass Lowell and a bachelor’s from the American University of Afghanistan. She founded “The Bookies,” promoting peace through education among Afghan children. At the ACE Center, she supports Afghan women and girls in Lowell as they pursue personal and professional goals and adjust to life in a new community.

Programs Administrator

Tahina Pierre is a first-generation Haitian American from the greater Boston area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from UMass Lowell and is now pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Passionate about culturally responsive mental health care, she is committed to supporting underrepresented communities. Through her work with MBMM and the ACE Center, she builds relationships with New American families and helps children and adults feel supported as they navigate life in a new country.

HAITIAN & LATIN X COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Fritznel Charles serves as Outreach Coordinator for Haitian and Latinx communities at the ACE Center for New Americans. Originally from Haiti, he previously lived in Chile, where he served as a pastor. In his current role, he supports outreach efforts by helping connect families from Haitian and Latinx communities to essential programs and services. Through his work, Fritznel helps strengthen relationships, build trust, and ensure that families feel welcomed and supported as they engage with the ACE Center.

DIGITAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS

Lima is a professional from India currently working with MBMM and the ACE Center for New Americans. He contributes technical expertise in video editing, social media management, and website administration. Through his work, he helps strengthen the organizations’ digital presence and expand their outreach efforts. His skills support effective communication and storytelling, enabling MBMM and the ACE Center to better connect with immigrant and refugee communities and share their programs and impact with broader audiences.

CULTURAL ADVOCATE - HISPANIC COMMUNITY

Rev. Edilberto Niño serves as Cultural Advocate for the Hispanic community at MBMM. He works closely with families to build trust and connect them to educational and ministry opportunities. He supports outreach by helping families access Afterschool and ESOL programs and provides translation and interpretation services. Rev. Niño also contributes to the Thriving Pastoral Ministry Program and helps ensure MBMM’s programs remain welcoming, accessible, and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
